Barbecued or Roasted Brussel Sprouts

Picture
This is the most deliciously simple recipe that is always a hit. Thank you Annette for showing us how easy and tasty cooking brussel sprouts can be!

INGREDIENTS:
  • Brussel Sprouts
  • L’Arte dell’Olivo Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper

DIRECTIONS:
Use either baby sprouts whole, or regular sprouts and trim and halve them.
Skewer the sprouts (the skewer is optional if the sprouts are large enough to not fall through the grates).
Drizzle, toss, coat liberally with olive oil, sprinkle with kosher salt.
Grill to desired done-ness - I prefer them a little crunchy on the inside. (DO NOT OVERCOOK)
This is the important bit: drizzle all the salty olive oil from the pan/bowl you coated them in all over the grilled sprouts.  Salt to taste, drizzle additional olive oil as needed.

Also amazing cooked in a cast iron skillet the same way.
Toss with oil and salt, cook over medium-high heat in cast iron skillet with olive oil (add as necessary to keep a layer of olive oil in the pan) to desired done-ness. Pour salty olive oil over finished sprouts, salt and oil to taste.

Enjoy and wonder why you didn't make more!!!
